Our petri dishes are first sterilized under UV light in cabinent for 15 mins then bagged and placed in garbage :-)

Hi everyone! I keep test tubes in their racks. one set of large and small under each student bench, and spare test tubes on racks in open low shelves around the lab. As students use the ones under their benches I clean them and replace with the ones from the shelves and so they are rotated and alway...

esp to r. crosdale...the iodine and ethanol method worked a treat!!!
newer stains easier but eventually all were removed...

easy experiments for school open night

our recent school open night was a great success, both chem lab and biol lab open with small "hands on" experiments for kids and parents to try.
eg.blowing up balloons with bi carb soda and vinegar. looking for some other cool simple experiments for next year any suggestions? thanks 8)
