this sounds to me like a job for the students to be doing in class,not the Labbie!
The teacher should be getting the students to do this as part of the prac.

at my school they do the junket prac in test tubes and I use a plastic test tube rack to hold the test tubes.

Final desicion comes down to the Principal and the OH&S officer.But as a TAS teacher they should already be aware of what to use and what not to use,surely they were CSIS trained,surely they have their own copies of the 'Bible' ,but go ask the higher beings cause basically if anything backfires ...

I have a student voltameter and it is so cute..with the other i recently bought new platnum electordes from haines 2 for $110. The only prob is the stopper is too small for my voltameter so i carfully pulled out the electrode and had our GA drill holes in stoppers that fitted.....woolah! Another pei...

We have 5 of these people in the staffroom on top of the aready 9 teachers in there.

Thanks for the tip about WD40.I just used it on the smaller scratches and they have faded slightly.................OH!...forgot to mention the rusted stainless steel sinks.I rinsed out reagent and dropper bottles with dilute acids and now the sinks are stained too....its such a shame that some thing...

as far as i knew there was nothing only dust,but could have been anything left over from the drilling,digging,cutting or it was 1 of the wooden drawers I use to store equipment in,All I can say is that the new rooms are not 'sceince prctical' ,the preproom is fitted out like a normal house hlod kitc...

at first sight I thought that my new preproom looked beautiful,bright spaces and airy..........now almost 1 year since they were done(november they were signed off) Im still waiting for them to come back to replace 1 bench because the screws have come throught the top of 1 bench,still waiting for ke...

hi there a now retired chemistry teacher showed me a quick calculation for your problem......... the amount of reagent as shown in the manual multiplied by the concentration neededmutiplird by 0.1mutiplied by volume needed in ml and diveded by 1000. this formula has become my bible and it works ever...

we have a class set of 10 and the precsion balance which is keep in the preproom for my usage only.I store our class set in the cupboard and as they are needed i put them on the trolley

we bought ours from scientriffic about 4 years ago and if we have had problems with them I have called scientrifficf for repairs and anything else to do with em.
They have always been very helpful to me
