Hi Rosaliel,
We use Paraffin wax pellets (beaded) from Chem-Supply PT200-500G, the pellets fit nicely in the wells of the conductivity stars. I scrape the wax of the wells after they have been used so that they are clean for the next class.

vernier go direct sensors feedback
Hi all,
Have you recently bought any of the vernier go direct sensors? Could I please have some feedback on them? We are thinking about getting some of the sensors.
Greatly appreciated

Re: Agar Plates
This is a recipe that I got from one of the SWS Network meetings, it works all the time. 500 mL water 10 g Agar (I use 'Labchem' Agar, powder, from Ajax, one bottle of 500g lasts me a long time). 1.5 g Beef stock cube/ powder (I use Bonox, conc. beef stock, about a third of a teaspoon) 2.5g peptone ...

Re: Oil for separation and rusting pracs
After I take the tap off, I soak the separating funnel in warm water with either Palmolive dishwashing liquid or any liquid hand wash (the latter seems to work quite well, maybe not perfect), rinse it, let it dry and put it away. I also try to use the same ones for future oil separation pracs. The r...

Hi,
Funny, I used Potassium permanganate before to heal gold fish in the fish tank when they looked sick, and it worked. I don't have them anymore, they died of old age.

Hi Julia, One of our whiteboards was not in a very good condition and last year term 3, I cleaned it up well with some whiteboard cleaner/conditioner from OfficeMax, then I sprayed it with WD40, let it soak in for a few minutes and wiped it clean with paper towel. The board is still working well tod...

chemwatch labelling
Hi everyone,
Does anyone else have problems getting labels from Chemwatch today? I can only get to a narrow box called 'label templates'. I tried to do it the way I always do, but I seem to get nowhere. Gold an mini SDS work alright. Any suggestions are welcomed. Thank you, Ines
