We issue the top class with their own copy of the text book and have approximately three class sets for lessons for each junior year. The remainder of the year group are given a CD of the text book to take home and copy on their computer. This seems to work fairly well for us although there are some...

Just veering off the risk assessment topic for a sec, I too make notes about things that work well or don't on stick it's and put them in the text book with the appropriate prac. I used to put an "on this day.." particularly aimed at science breakthroughs but as time went on I got too busy some days to change it so I eventually stopped. But I love your concept! I must try it here.

Ahh! It seems we may the only ones who care about OH & S and duty of care. I have laminated cards that read "Safety Glasses required" which I put in the appropriate experiments as I prepare them with laminated mini MSDS' of the chemicals they are using. Twice, to date, the same teacher...
