Hi Dianne There's a simple formula that works when going from one concentration to another. V1C1 = V2C2 where V1 is volume you want to find, C1 is concentration you have (eg 1M), V2 is the volume you are going to (eg 1000mL) and C2 is the concentration you want ( eg 0.01M). when you plug the values...

answer still unclear to me.
is 10 ml of 1m hcl to 990 h2o makes 0.01m hcl?
and
10ml of 0.1 m hcl to 990 h2o =0.001m hcl?
This is already using broken down solutions.!!

Hi, looking for formula for 0.01 and 0.001m hcl.
Is it 10ml of 1mhcl to 990 h2o for 0.01mhcl? and
Is it 10ml of 0.1mhcl to 990h2o for 0.001m hcl?
