Hi Everyone,
I was just wondering, is there a list anywhere of "Organic Chemicals" and "Non Organic Chemicals"? I have two bottles set up for disposal but sometimes I am not sure as to what goes in which bottle.

Geiger Counter Purchase
Hi Everyone,
Our school is looking at perhaps buying a Geiger Counter as we always have to borrow one from another school. Has anyone bought one lately? If so, where from, how much etc. Any do's or donts??
Thanks for your help.

water distillers
Hi Everyone,
I need to buy a new water distiller for science as our old one has finally died. Has anyone bought one lately that they can recommend? It would be nice to get one that doesnt waste the excess water down the sink. Please let me know your recommendations.
Thanks
Susie

Re: storage of bromine water
We keep our Bromine Water in a brown bottle, in a sealed snap lock bag, in our Lab Fridge.
Our chemistry teacher has said it "keeps" for alot longer when stored in the fridge.

Phosphorus Red L.R
One of our chemistry teachers has asked "Is there any way of keeping PHOSPHORUS RED L.R dry?"
We have three jars and all are wet inside.
Is it just old or does it come this way?
Thanks

Pheno going cloudy
Another question for you all, this one from a teacher.
What is the problem if you add phenothalein to an acid and it goes cloudy, when it should stay clear?
thanks

HELP!! I am having trouble making a solution of Bromothymol Blue. When i make it, it only goes blue for about a minute, then begins to turn green. I add the sodium hydroxide, drop by drop, but still goes green. Can anyone help?
