There is only two acids that scare me, Nitric & HF Hydroflouric Never use it unless necessary and always in a fume cabinet When it reacts it gives off brown fumes that are extremely TOXIC and do permanent damage to lungs HF if on skin leaves mild redness but penetrates straight to bones and atta...

Some have a container on bottom to fill with dry ice others have a spike designed to go into a thermos flask full of dry ice to get bottom cold also there should be a felt ring below top that you use a wash bottle full of Metho/Ethanol to saturate felt ring

A couple of years ago, elecrricians in to Tag & Test they vpulled fridge cord after turning off, replaced cord but did not turn back on

We only do it in spirit burners!
After producing ethanol from yeast & Sugar, teacher poured onto watch glass and set alight after a couple of minutes watch glass shattered and fire ran over teachers desk.
Easily put out but sent warnings to only use very small quanties
