Re: Does Calcium Hydroxide deteriorate?

Thanks Graham, I just tried your two hole bung with tubing and syringe for a teacher in a far flung lab who couldn't find me when her limewater had gone off. It works a treat. She can now help herself from a stock bottle. Malook

Re: glassware supplier

Try VWR International Pty Ltd, they sell Pyrex, Quickfit, MBL & Azlon plastics which are all good brands. I have not had a chance to order from them yet so have not checked prices

Re: engineering studies trial papers

Yes I suppose you are correct, but as no one was offering it at our school ,theSciernce HT was trying to cater to our large population of kids with poor english skills, we have an Intenstive English Centre which tops up our students a couple of times a year. So engineering studies is a great alterna...

I am under the impression that GHS discourages labbies( or anyone) from decanting into other containers ,hence the "keep in original container" specification

Re: Hay infusion

Its so difficult to keep those minibugs alive that I wouldn't be too worried. Just expose them to too much heat or dark when you want to get rid of them. I have finally managed to keep my hy infusion alive for 18months and was very excited by the fact . :D What's the record??

extra assistance

Does anyone know the magic formula in DET for requesting extra help with some of our tasks. I am so busy at the moment as I Just keep acquiring more jobs( some self inflicted). I know we are all in the same boat but I feel my science time is suffering because of all the admin etc things that I do :-...

text book issue

Austins Molecular Model Kits

Hi Labbies, Just wondering if anyone had some spare parts to fit the wooden Austins Molecular Model Kits. We currently have eight sets which are almost complete ,with the exception of bonds. I am a bit short on the wire springs which act as bonds. Does anyone have any in storage that they no longer ...
