Overhead projectors

Happy New Year to all!
We have a problem.
We have 2 overhead projectors (Gilkon Model GLP 1) purchased in early 2006.
They continually blow their lamps (the element posts melt).
The light output is so much that it creates smokey surfaces. Has anone else experienced this?

Have you approached supplier / Gilcron?
Sounds like too much voltage on lamps, Should be 24 Volts but they should be under warranty, contact Gilcron

There is too much current passing through the lamp or the legs of the lamp have a short circuit. Do have the correct voltage lamp?
