I have hydrogen peroxide, lemon juice, and when in use, starch, glucose, amylase and gelatin. They dont last forever but most will be ok for a few weeks.

Tell that to the teachers!!!!!!
I've been trying to gross their lunches out of the fridge for 2 years... even letting some hearts go off in it (not intentionally!) didn't work!

I must be very lucky. I have two prep rooms with a fridge and freezer in each and NO access to the teachers stuff.
We then have a staff room with a fridge for LUNCH.
How is that, civilized or what.

Re: Storage of chemicals in the fridge
I have all the usual iodine, bromine water etc as well as 1 bottle of ethanol, adipoyl chloride, 1,6 diaminohexane, buffer solutions, Lipase, trypsin, dyes for electrophoresis and made up solutions of glucose, starch.
Re: Storage of chemicals in the fridge
Hey Lada, I'm the same as you (except I only have 1 prep room), with 1 exception. Even though there is a fridge in our staff room for lunches, every now and then the staff still sneak overflow into my fridge. It just creeps me out that they can still eat it after everything I put in there. I am trying to change the culture here of using the prep room like a kitchen but these stubborn teachers don't like change. Arg!
As for chemicals I don't have much, mainly some made up agar plates, some egg powder, antibiotic ring sets, dialysis tubing and sterile swabs.
