Glocuse syrup
Does anyone have a simple recipe to make glucose syrup from powder glucose. I only need to make about 80ml. Its for a pract that requires the students to paint the 4 eggs in different solutions.
Re: Glocuse syrup
Hi
I make my solution up as follows:
180gm D-Glucose per litre H2O
So breaking it down you probably need 22.5gm per 125 ml H2O.
Hope that helps.
Cheers Nicky

Hi chemical,
In the past I have found glucose syrup in the supermarket. Quite cheap.
It is Queen brand, 500grams and lists its uses as sweetener in drinks, cooking, confectionery and cake decoration. It is very thick but still runs......
Cheers,
