glostick

Post by mtg »

Anyone have an easy safe recipe for glosticks? The existing thread veers off to lipstick ideas and there's no actual recipe. If there is one what's it under? The one the kid wants to do is off ehow and looks ok, but just wondering what you all do. thanks.

Wouldn't you just buy readymade glosticks from the junky shops. About two or three dollars a pack. The ones I bought were glo tubes with connectors, a pack of 15. I have also seen thicker glosticks for sale at Coles - more expensive.
Lyn.
OK - that wasn't the answer you were after.
Google - making glow sticks. Several recipes showed up but there is every likelihood that you may not have some of the chemicals listed in the recipes. They were on a site called http://www.instructables.com. The easiest recipe would be the DIY Glow Stick. For that you would need Luminal. There are other more complicated recipes. Check it out.
