I am having trouble preparing a Cu sample , from the heating iron filings with Copper Oxide.
I heat for a l o n g time, in Pyrex boiling tube, until it was read glowing hot.
But no go
is there an optimum ratio of the Cu O to Fe?

No, we using only copper oxide and carbon. I am insluding our risk assessment, see if this is the same prac. if yes you will never clean testubes, you can re use tham for the same prac or chuck it.
