Hi guys,
Can you please tell me what this is?
Is it just a really weak acid solution or something tricky?
I asked the teacher and he said it was just in the book
Acidified water
Re: Acidified water
Hi CC, this is from Professor Google:
'ACIDIFIED WATER:- The concentration of ions in pure water is very low and hence it is a poor conductor of electricity. Acids can ionise better in water to produce plenty of ions and hence the conductivity of water increases. The water containing small amount of acid dissolved in it is known as acidified water.'
Hope this helps!

Hi Cindy,
I always put a splash of 2M H2SO4 in my water for the voltameter and it works a treat!
