Hi all,
I'm wondering if anyone has recently, or ever for that matter, purchased a density kit?
The teacher who wants one is after shapes of the same size but different densities?
Cheers

Re: Density Kits
Have bought them and have seen them in catalogues, pretty sure serrata has them . Usually 1cm (or bigger) cubes of various metals.

Re: Density Kits
We've got sets of the 1cm cubes but also bought the 2cm cubes recently, a bit easier to handle and gives a clearer result. Just make sure you have measuring cylinders wide enough for them to fit in.
Re: Density Kits
I found 3 blocks here they are about 3cm square, which are perfect!
The teacher who wants them wont be submersing them she only wants to weigh them etc to show the different densities.
I've found the 1cm ones online, and we do have some 1cm metal cubes here but they are so small, not very user friendly!
So I'll be making a 3cm one of foam and that will have to do her!!
