Hello,

I'm relatively new to lab teching in schools and new to chemtalk.

I'm wanting to get a risk assessment form together for our chemicals but am starting from scratch. Does anyone have a form that they wouldn't mind faxing me so I could take a look to get an idea how other people have satisfied the requirments?

Fax number is 6234 8209, faxes marked att. Courtney or High School Lab Tech will reach me.

Cheers,
Courtney.

Hi Courtney,
Welcome to the forum.
I have sent you faxes of some sample RA forms that I have laying around here.
My understanding is that only procedures and substances that are hazardous need to be assessed, but all hazards MUST be assessed, rated and then minimised and re-assessed. It is probably a good idea to have all the RA's filed under topics, etc, and mention what you would like done with chemical "left overs", etc

All the best
Ian :-)

Hi everyone, I am new to Chemwatch and new to the position of School Lab Tech, here in Maryborough. I have noticed the many calls for Robb to fax RA forms and I wondered if I could jump on too. Our schools fax number is 07 41232545.
I am setting this lab up from scratch and would appreciate any and all advice/forms etc which would help me set up a safe legal environment.

Kind Regards,
