SASS Conference St Marys

Post by Robbie »

It would be interesting to know who is planning to go to the SASS Conference at St Marys Senior High on 23 and 24 November.

We could plan to meet together and put some faces to the Nicknames and comments.

Hi Robbie,

As one of the organising team, I'll be there on both days. The Thursday evening drinks & dinner is a great opportunity to meet other participants in a less formal setting.

See you there. Steph

Hi Robbie

I too am looking forward to meeting chemtalk people at the conference.
I will only be able to go on Friday
we need to wear a red carnation or other identifier so we know who is who
(sounds like a james bond movie)
anyway its always good to meet people at the conference

Is there anyone out there going from the illawarra region?

SASS conference

Hi m
I have already pm'd you about this.
Last year a bus was organised by someone (it may have been Warrawong), and I was hoping it was being organised for this year as well.
I haven't heard anything yet, and if it doesn't eventuate we could travel together anyway.
Regards
Carol

conference

Post by carolg »

Hi All

Could I please gave details of registration etc. I would like our new labbie to attend.

also if anyone has any details of couses, PD etc in this area could you please let me know. TAFE no longer do the correspondence course and the RACI course had to get canned. I know it can be done through the TAFE traineeship thing but that is not a possibility for this person at the moment. They are booked in for the "Handling Hazardous Substances " 1 day course at TAFE.

Thanks
Carol

Hi Robyn
I'm going if you want to come with me.
Do you go Galston/Dural way through the backway?

Is anyone going from the airport Thursday morning? It could be good to join forces to tackle the public transport system... I (theoretically) land at 7:45am...

Hi All,

Several of us are coming down from Tamworth for the conference next week.

I am going to be staying down for the weekend to see my sister who lives in North Richmond and was wondering if there was anybody who will be there who could give me a lift back that direction on Friday afternoon. I was planning to just catch a couple of trains but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask anyway.

Looking forward to meeting lots of online friends.

Just wondering what SASS stands for? I know these postings were about last year's conference and that I'm out of area completely, but it's nice to understand what's going on around the country - you never know, I may be in the area for some reason...but who qualifies to attend?

Don't worry about my last posting, I immediately went to a forum on job description and the first entry explained it!

We are now SAO School admin Officers, once upon a time we were
SASS School Assistant Support staff, before that Anxcillary staff, I can not go any more back than that.
