As you will all realise by now all the cork trees have been over harvested and you can no longer buy cork stoppers!
Rubber stoppers are attacked by a lot of organics even ethanol.
Does anyone have an alternative?

Cork Alternative

Hi Ocker,

There are other polymer based stoppers to accommodate for Organic Liquids and/or reactions but, one would have to search around. (Neoprene or Silicone Polymer for instance to mention a few).

This may even become an expensive hobby because you may have to contact reputable Scientific Suppliers.

As the saying goes - You pay for what you get.

Cheers,

Yeah Robb
Cork stoppers were nice & cheap
Where rubber stoppers are about a $1 each with these exotic compounds are concerned the sky is the limit!
I just threw it in the air to see if some genius could think of a cheap alternative
