We use it to track movement of ions. Prac works well.
I am fortunate we have a factory nearby who have given me a piece of their off-cuts.
Scrap metal places may help

I found it at Westlab (Vic) It is expensive $45 for 30cm square and mesh is quite fine. I would have thought flywire mesh size more suitable. What does Rita use?

May I have a copy too if it is not too much trouble. We are very short of equipment etc at my school.

Re: Copper Mesh (Gauze)
if it"s any help we just use two strips of copper(5 to 10mm x 20 to 30 mm) clipped to the sides of a glass petri dish. It smells a bit so we do it near a window as there's not enough room in the fume hood. mtg

Re: Copper Mesh (Gauze)
I have made my own "mesh" in the past for this one by just weaving some thin uncoated copper wire - worked OK!
