Try a meat wholesaler if there are any nearby.
I get mine from Murray Valley Meat Co - Meat Wholesalers
South Strathfoeld ( Enfield )
Ph : 9642 8888
Jon McGeoch

I ordered some yesterday to be picked up next Tuesday

Try Glow meat at Arndell Park 9672 1344

They only have pigs eyes though - but might be able to get fresh for you too.

I just have a quick question. How do you store your eyes? Thanks

We wrap ours in Glad wrap, each one that is, and freeze in a ice cream container, sorry a empty ice cream container. They seem fine. That way I can get one or six out a time.

Hi there Noona,

All offal needed for dissections can be sourced from:

Pear Meat Industry (02)9631 9866 2/41 Stoddarts Rd, corner of Prospect Rd, (Offal for dissections)

I got this supplier from from a uni labby.

Hope this can help you.

Does anyone know where you can get "eyes" for dissection in the New England (Uralla) area? I have a mobile butcher but he is down the coast for 3 months (lucky duck) - tried the local butcher but it is not something they do. Appreciate any help.
Thanks

Hi Jillian

I get all my 'offal' from Dissection Connection now, just google them, they are in QLD, we pay for freight but we were paying heaps for eyes through the butcher about $4ea, worked out nearly the same. I ask the teachers to let me know what they need coming up and try to cut down on freight costs and stock up.

Cheers
Lisa

All our eye dissections have been done, the response to the cow eyes- great specimens, lenses were clear except for a spot in the middle of it was a little milky, this had no effect on the dissection :)
