What happened to the old days of making kids take time to reflect? They are doing something over the PA here, at least someone is making an effort, I guess.

We had an assembly at 11.00 o'clock.
I think it is important that we carry on these traditions, Lest We Forget.........

we has an assembly earlier today.
At 11am, the radio station i listened to paused, and played the last post etc, so I stopped work and had my silence.

We had a full school assembly with the Last Post and speakers from the community. I don't know if the kids understand what it is all about but we need to continue OUR traditions and not lose our history, heritage and culture.

We had assembly with 2 minutes silence whilst a staff member played the Last Post. I remember at school they would play the last post over the PA and everyone would reflect for a minute. I have pulled off the road whilst driving to observe in the past. Ours was a student run assembly and they showed great understanding about the day.
