Neutralise.. Sink.. Bin.. Waste.. ????
Labbie friends ... I am one year into my role and wondering if someone has a cheat sheet of neutralising, sinking, wasting ie inorganic, organic etc ... I know the basics and learnt my copper solutions go with steelwool and silver nitrate with salt solution ... But before I embark on making a document to keep details on ... Has anyone before me done something like this ... Your sharing would be greatly appreciated ... Kindest ...
With thanks Kate

I have a list but unless you follow the CSIS it will not make sense to you. It is a list of the Numbers 2 etc and what to do.

It's a great reference document, thanks Labbie!
I am not sure how to get rid of iodine (solid) in kerosene (solution). The solution is a light brown colour and has a few small solid pieces of iodine settled at the bottom. Using the spread sheet:
23 - Kerosene Solution - Evaporate and Garbage.
16 - Iodine Solid - Neutralise and down sink
16 - Iodine Solution - Dilute down sink
What do I do when it is not one straightforward method??

Well Evaporate what you can first,
Then after a few days what you are left with put into garbage, by wrapping in newspaper, If its a solution dilute down sink.
