Goodbye - it's been a journey
Goodbye - it's been a journey
I just wanted to say goodbye to All my chemtalk friends.
After a year of not being in science and living in hope that I would get back there one day, even if I had to go to another school, I gave up.
I've left the department for another job. Still in education but different.
I've so loved being part of your community over the years. To rant. To support. To learn.
Stay healthy. Stay sane.

Hi Narelle
That's really sad to hear. It seems a stupid waste of training and resources to not put you into a labbie spot. Fortunately, in the system I work in, I am employed as a science assistant - seems a more sensible approach as it is a specialised job.
Thank you for all your comments/support/sharing your rants over the last few years. Best wishes for your future endeavours.

Re: Goodbye - it's been a journey
I echo Merilyn's words, thank you for all your help and support over the years. You will be missed.
Also, I am glad I am in a state that recognises that we are in a specialised position with specialised training and treated as such.
All the best for the future.

Goodbye Narelle
Its been great to have you onboard in this forum. We will miss you.
The DoE has a lot to answer for to lose a special person like you from Science.
When are they going to wake up ??

Farewell, Narelle. Thank you especially for your part in running the SLAMN conferences, I have so enjoyed them when I've been able to go. Very important for labbies to feel supported in that way.

Hi Narelle,
What can I say!
You have been a really important part of my time in science too.
From the time you joined the SLAMN committee we became good friends sharing this interesting and sometimes challenging position in Science that only another "Labbie" could understand.
Who would have thought we would have lasted this long
Enjoy the next part of your journey and we will catch up soon
