From the Appendix D CSIS book, Sulfur Powder, Sulfur Flowers, are all the same item. Page 241. It's light like a flour so perhaps that is why it got its name.

Sulfur

Post by Robb »

Hi dolphinscales and pommy,

The difference between Flowers of Sulfur and Sulfur is what pommy has described, but to refined the answer even more, Sulfur Flour is a more house hold name for Powdered Sulfur. Since "Elemental" Sulfur is really clumpy and is often large in their size.

Hence why the term flour is used to just simply refer to the powdered form.

A justified and very interesting question though!!

Hope this helps out,

Cheers,

Robb.....
