Hi
I was wondering about chemical spill kits. Who do you buy them from or what do you need to make one?
Thanks Ivy

Re: Spill Kits
Ivy, we have done the same here, made up our own, but I know, you can get them from chem. suppliers and they are more specific(eg ammonia spill etc). I have never used it, but I feel the home made one is enough.

Re: Spill Kits
Hi All,
we have made our own spill kits too and have in them also-
Vermiculite (instead of kitty litter),
dustpan and broom (or a pooper scooper)
nitrile gloves (in the case of a chemical spill)
plastic shopping bags (for waste)
Pine-O-Clean (a frightening spill can be vomitus, anything to make it smell better)
It's not a bad idea to have 500g of sulfur around in case of a mercury spill.
All this is stored in a distinctive plastic bucket for a quick grab
Cheers,
~Robyn

Re: Spill Kits
Hi Ivy,
Nice to see a name I know
I am like the others, I made up a kit that is stored in a central place, my list is the same except that I also have a mop marked just for spills as well that I keep with the kit. So far I have never had to use it.
