Chemical not in the CSIS
Hi guys, as my usual practice in expanding my knowledge, I read the CSIS each time i get a chemical out...this morning a chemical was requested that is not in CSIS.
Does this mean we should not be using it? I have printed the MSDS as we didn't have that either....

yeah they do, the narrow opening ones, but you can't squeeze the bottle to drop, so you kind of get a 'dash' of liquid, not a drop, if that makes sense (just tried it with water!)

Re: New Dropper Bottles
just as far as i know, don't put the ones that need to be kept in the dark..silver nitrate & any iodine ones, as for the rest it is safe i think. I hasd a look at our solutions and there are lots of them in plastic..... I am going to phase out the amber bottles, swapping over the more common one...

Re: New Dropper Bottles
i got them from Science supply Australia, and they are an 'all on one unit' so you just twist the top and drop, so the kids don't actually take the dropper out of the bottle. They come in 60ml and 120ml i think, i got the 60ml bottle, and they are shoter and fatter than the sample, and they just squ...

New Dropper Bottles
I am very excited, all my new plastic dropper bottles arrived and now it is time to get rid of the rubber top ones that perish.
Would you guys make up fresh chems, or just transfer the old solutions into new bottles?
I don't know when the last solutions were made....
thanks!

I vaguely remember doing something with 'ammonia paper' at uni, we all designed something on the piece of paper and then out it in large jars in the ...
