Algal Balls

Good Afternoon Has anyone made these recently? If so what are your thoughts? Is it better just to buy them? They are about $60 for 60 balls. Thanks

Does anyone know where to purchase rockets and additional equipment required ? I remember years ago there was a supplier at the SLAMN Conference but I can not locate the details.
Thanks

Re: Safety Shower testing

To test our shower we use one of the extra large orange bin liners with the bottom edge of the bag cut off. The tie at the top of the bag then ties around the top of the shower head. I place a large green bin under the shower and put the end of the bag into the bin and turn on the shower. You then c...

Good morning my best head teacher ever is starting at Mount Annan Christian College and they are after a lab tech. I don’t know what the school is like but he is a great and supportive teacher.

Re: data loggers

I have been at two schools and both have purchased Pascoe probes. We gradually add to the quantities as we can. We started with 1 or 2 of various probes. Ciderhouse is very helpful in getting you started.

Re: Labcoats or aprons

End of last term I took them home, we only have 30 as we are a small school. The safety glasses have wipes on top of the box and...

Re: Inventory of equipment

Still a spread sheet here too, but would love a technology advancement :).
As for borrowing we require a Risk Assessment to be completed to use our equipment. I am only 2 days a week. So far a risk assessment has been done on most cases.
Merry Christmas as tomorrow is my last day for the year!
