Re: Storing Alligator wires
I use these storage boxes I got from Bunnings. The teacher gives each group a drawer which has leads, light bulbs and a switch. Then checks them as they are returned. I keep the same colour lead in each drawer so it is easy to see if they have been completely messed up.

Re: Bromine water
I got this recipe for Bromine Water years ago of a discussion list -
BROMINE WATER. To 150ml of 0.2M potassium bromide add 0.15g of potassium bromate and 25ml of 2M hydrochloric acid.
We have made it up and teachers have been happy with it.

Have a great day

Re: Haines Light boxes
Unfortunately the lenses are not magnetic but they can be held up on the whiteboard with one hand and you can draw angles etc with the other

Re: Haines Light boxes
Hi Jen
They are fine in the classroom - It has a coloured LED (red or blue or green) in the unit. The front cover comes off so you can either use it with a slit or a wide angle beam and mix the colours. My teachers think they are great as they don't have to carry power supplies around!

Hi Liz, Can't help with those. But recently we purchased the light source coloured set/3 (P607) and prisms & lenses set, acrylic (P576) from Haines instead of light boxes. Teachers are very happy with the light sources - use a battery and much easier to use than the traditional light box & p...

We recently purchased one from Haines for around $69.00 Cat No GE020. The teachers use it with the junior school and are happy with it.
