Just be careful. I just did this and it kind of exploded on me. Too much NaOH and Al foil the reaction was rather large. If i had a really big balloon it would have been oK. But we had a normal size balloon that didnt go onto the conical flask properly. I did it again after, with less Al and NaOH an...

The problem with Steve Spangler is that he does not write in the chemical and preportions that he uses. Probley a liability thing, but it makes his site very interesting but not very practical.

How do you get the balloons that full of H2? Any of the things i know how to do ends up with not enough of a reaction to fill the balloon?

i thought a little brass'o would do the trick. We dont use the Van De Graph machine up here in Darwin that much. Doesnt like the humidity.

If i had to wait for the maintance officer to do it. All of them will be stuck by the time he gets around to it. I was going to get the gas guy in to do it.
