how are westlab with delivery time and freight costs etc, I am getting fed up with waiting 2 months for orders to arrive, I thought I may give them a try. Had a look at their catalogue, their prices are competitive

Re: BioViewers - Who uses them?

Had them at 2 schools I have worked at in the past, 1 used them all the time with juniors and the other never used them, such a waste, I think they are great, easy to use, no lamps, and there is a good selection of viewing slides. I am glad you guys mentioned them, I am going to try to get them here...

Re: Who does this?

I always report it, whether I notice it or someone else, I assume if they mention it to me they want it fixed. I email maintenance, mind you they always take their time, and if they have to get someone from outside they organise it

Cheers

Re: Teacher declarations

Does anyone else find this as frightening as I do? :redcard: Why isnt anything done about them, they are not teaching good habits let alone good science, and cant be good teachers; what idiot thinks that mixing random chemicals is fun or a good idea, this is my observations :wink2: , not a criticism...

VERNIER Data Logger supplier

Hi, We have the Vernier Lab Quest data loggers, and I was wondering if anyone else has them, and who you buy from, I have noticed there are a few suppliers on the internet, and we have been LED to believe that Scientrific are the only authorised distributors in Aust, & we havent bought from them...

Hi Rosalie & Estelle, I put an order in with Silform in October last year, I got most of the order about 6 weeks later, and I had slinkys on back order and I rang only last Friday and was told I would have to pay freight on them which could be $30-40. I told him not to worry about them. They are...

Re: Disposal of Potassium Permanganate?

Hi Ian We still go by the CSIS too, have you checked the supplier MSDS, what does it say about disposal. ChemGold has generic MSDS is my understanding, although when I went to an inservice at the AIS, they were big on ChemGold MSDS, but I believed it was if there were no manufaturer MSDS's. Cheers L...

Re: Safety glasses!

Just going through this old post, we are having problems with our safety glasses breaking. The type we have are basic spectacle safety glasses, cost $5 each and this year only, we have had about 8 pairs broken, 6 of them have 'snapped' inbetween the lenses, the part that sits across the nose, with a...
