If you are doing the prac on page 86....
Test 2 : We test glucose with Benedicts solution
Test 4 : Protein....Try egg white with Biuret - teacher demo only because of 10M NaOH

5 Labs only have ceiling fans. 4 dry labs - 2 with a/c's , 2 with ceiling fans 2 preprooms - 1 with ceiling fan, 1 with NOTHING ! I recycle margarine, ice-cream, yoghurt containers.
The margarine containers hold 6-8 dropper bottles....depending on whether round or oblong shaped
1L icecream containers hold up to 12 dropper bottles - good for chem pracs that need a lot of solutions.

I have just made up the solutions and used them for the Bio prac "Effect of CO2 on the pH of water", to calibrate the datalogger. ...also tested with Universal indicator...excellent !!!!
