we used the data loggers you mentioned and they lasted quite a few years with out any problems we have had two batteries replaced and serrat would have loaned us a replacement for the entire time that the unit was away, we did not take advantage of that as we did not have plans to use it during that...

:lol: i agree we were told five years. I had a full set of MSDS one for every chemical in our storage that is kept in the science prep room and a copy of all the Hazardous ones that we keep in the Bursar's office. that is suppose to meet the requirments of our school district. Barb

:lol: talked to one of our chemistry teachers and she said that you have done REALLY well not to loss any more matter then that. And it is as you suspected the loss is through the porosity of balloon and the fitting at the neck of the flask is not 100 % tight. congratulation!!! barb

WELL :D I am inpressed. I have tried various methods to fix these things with little or no result. Tried dry ice with metho added once. Just did the oil heating method and recovered 12 out of 14. the other two broke one from the heat and one from the cold. (I thought that protective eye wear may be...

you guys are a lot braver then i am. i just wash them out and scrub them the best that i can and then keep them separate to be used for magnesium only. not the best solution either but one that works for us. Barb

microscope service

we had some serviced by John from Scientrific. he visited our area in New England and did several schools which reduced the travel costs. everyone seemed pleased with his work. we also gave him some old microscopes that he could use for parts. Barb
