Re: screened methyl orange colour chart?

Hi
I think the methyl orange end point is hard to see so a mixed indicator is worth a try. Who supplies Xylene Cylanol?I cant find it in Q stores or Serrata catalogues.

Re: Washing lab coats

Hi Jazz
I wait until I have 3 or 4 that need a wash and then take them home.
You might have a washing machine and dryer at school in the TAS dept.
You could use that.

Re: Intoduction to Data Loggers for laboratory support staff

Phil Jones sometimes goes to the St Mary's Conference. If you are going you could ask him if would run a course closer to home for you or just send him an email.
I have always found him helpful and easy to talk to. Email info@logint.com.au

Re: Old indicator stock

Thanks for your replies. The expiry list by Robb is good.
I guess I'll keep using the old indicators (including the ones from Peking Chemicals) and just replace one or two a year to refresh the stock.

Hi Does anyone know how long you can keep indicator powder for. We have some that has been here for at least 10 years. Does it have a use by date? A recent recipe for making up litmus solution said to use anywhere between 1 to 10 g of indicator per Litre of water, depending on how old it was. How old...

Re: MSDS

Hi all for any one that uses chemwatch, they now have quite a lot of aldi brand products on their data base . This is handy as you can access the MSDS and the mini MSDS in chemwatch format. Re: swapping Jobs???

Hi
I think any principal that wants to put the office staff in the prep room should be reminded of their duty of care. Our work requires training, we are highly skilled people. At least we have some good networks around so we can acknowledge this even if some senior staff have no idea.
