Re: WELCOME BACK EVERYONE

macca,
I am obsessed with succulents!!!
I have a big garden in my back yard and two smaller ones out front! (not to mention all my little pups in pots)
I love what you've done there, I contemplated using chairs, it's great to see ones completed!
Well done you!

Very true Lyn!!
Perhaps I should!
As soon as I open the door to the chem store I get hit with the smell :yuck:
Then, as with you all, the flammable cupboard is another blast (of fumes that is) :yuck:

Re: Whiteboard Erasers

We are trialling micro fibre cloths, so far they are working a treat!
They are pretty easy to clean, I just wash them in the prep rooms with hot water and suds, bit of a soak, bit of a rub and they come out reasonably clean!

HA! My exhaust fan has been broken for months!!
I have repeatedly put it on Sentral, brought it to the attention of the WHS committee, and then escalated it to the principal.....................

Re: Phenolphthalein Agar

Lyn wrote:$20 for 75g is pretty much on the money for the agar agar. ChemSupply has agar agar at $122 for 500g. So the price is reasonable from the health food store.

Yea, I thought so too!

Re: Phenolphthalein Agar

I did try the bludge option but agar is pretty expensive......so wasn't successful there.
I have made the teacher fully aware of the problem, I'm lucky my teachers are pretty relaxed, so she said if it doesn't work then she will just reschedule the prac when I have some :-)

Has anyone tried this?
I'll let you know if:
1. it sets and
2.it works (or not).......................

Vacuum Jar

Hi all, What bell does everyone use in their vacuum jars? Last minute prac this morning, of course! Only had old bells, but we couldn't get it to hang in the jar. The bell sat on the base of the jar, it kind of worked but I need to buy a bell that will hang happily from the lid of the jar. ...

I wish I had access to a Woolies or Coles card too!!
We don't have our own petty cash anymore, but can get reimbursed from the office petty cash.
If my teachers were organised I could add what we need to the food tech order from Woolies..........but that's not going to happen any time soon!!

Haven't been told anything different, so until I am I will continue doing what I've been doing. I also buy bicarb etc from woollies....much chea...
