Re: Welcome back to Term 3

Hi everyone,
Term 3 is going to be very different for me. My transfer for an office job at another school has come through and at the time of writing I'm waiting to hear when I'll be starting.

Happy term 3 everyone :-)

Lab Assistant Poll

Hi everyone, Thanks to everyone who took part in the poll about whether you were a lab assistant by choice. I was surprised. I thought that like me most people were sent to science. I was an office casual for many years, but when the opportunity came up to be permanent I applied for a few jobs - one...

Last year, as our budget was much bigger, we replenished and replaced a lot of equipment and bought a lot of text books....

Re: Dishwashers

Dear Loopy, We have a Dishlex dishwasher. I've been here 6 years and I think the dishwasher was here a few more years before that. In my time here, I've only had to fix it once - and I use it every day. I'm not sure about cost and energy ratings - bur it's a good brand. I had a dishlex at home too t...

Re: Universal indicator

Hi RosalieM, I tip out the contaminated solution. I keep the universal indicator in dropper bottles, but only fill them halfway or less because some of them come back contaminated. My theory is that the students put the dropper itself into the beaker of solution instead of dropping the indicator fro...

Delivery Tubes

Hi everyone,

Can anyone tell me if you can buy delivery tubes? I've searched my catalogues but I can't find any. I'm too busy to make my own. [-o<

Re: I Should Have Stayed In Bed

Hi everyone, I agree with MichPull - after 5 years I have learnt to say no . Throwing a mini tantrum also helps. If a teacher wants a solution to be made up at the last minute, I give them the bottle or jar of the powdered chemical and they can make it up themselves. They are slowly getting the mess...

Hi everyone,
Can anyone out there help me. Our electrodes (especially the copper ones)
