Re: colour precipitate wanted

I dont want to use lead base solution (yellow) and I dont want to make a white ptte as you cant see this well on white filter paper. colour precipitate wanted

Thinking caps ON! I have been racking my brain trying to think of a substitute experiment for: PbNO3 + KI 2 clear solutions which forms a yellow precipitate which can then be filtered to leave a clear solution again! The tricky part is we dont want a white precipitate, needs to be safe and not expen...

Re: Audit time

Funny you should mention that, we had this discussion yesterday as well. That Br & Br water are better in a colder environment. I then double checked the appendix with it refering to it being cold will release less vapours.
We decided that this was the better option than the corrosive cabinet.

They are not loose and go around the sides of the foot but the heal is exposed! When you walk they lift with your foot and you dont drag your fee...

Re: I have a tadpole in my prep room

With a Taddy you can use gold fish food to feed it. Place in a small tank with an aerator.
If you wish to give it to a home or wonder what to do with it, google FATS - Frog and Tadpole Society there is a contact number and they will help you out.

Re: Glass tubing

You can buy a glass cutter which scores around the eadge of the glass and you just gently snap it. You can also score the tube with a very fine file. The ends can be heated and the pressed on a heat proof mat to flatten or round off, of a fine file will also smooth of the ruff bits. Dont forget safe...

Re: Silly Putty - Heinemann Science 2

I have also found that not all PVA glue is the same and a test run is advisable in advance.
Start with 10ml of 4% BORAX SOLUTION AND 50ml of 10% PVA.
Some PVAs I found are better at 50%. I prefer to increase the glue concentration than the borax.
Then write it on your glue for next time. :wink2:
