Hi Sue, I said no never, however I have been to one faculty meeting to demonstrate the use of the camera microscope, but since they have a meeting every week, that cannot count as 'sometimes'... The dept of education state no growing of unknown Microbes. you can do everything you need to do for the sylabous using a peppercorn solution wich growes a safe bacteria to you, students and teachers. the plate can be desposed of in bleach or in home brand disinfectent ...

Yes thank you Noona :) I have another question, what happens if there is an accident and you cannot get onto chemwatch??? The number of times that I have not been able to get on to the chemwatch site... What do you do then. And there could be other computer problems, not to mention internet failures...

I think this Glen guy should put this in writing so that we have a leg to stand on when we get audited and the demand to see the MSDS. Until I am 200% positive and have heard from more than one source, I think its best to be on the safe side and stick to RA and MSDS. More work for me but at least my...

Hi Kerri,
we did this prac a short while ago, they do it both in yr7 and yr 11. We used leads, crocodile clips, light bulb and power prac, and did exactly the same for the gasses that Lada said.

Ahhhh wonderful google So I found out what the difference is, green capsicum ripens to red, whereas yellow capsicums are a hybrid of green capsicums and ripen to orange... So there we go, cleared that one up for us!

I really dont know what to say.... It just must have been the tongue thing :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: Capsicums go from green, yellow, orange and red, same with chillis.... I think, at least I was pretty sure thats how it was, until I just remembered that some red capsicums have clear green parts.. ...
