Was extra time allocated or was it expected to be completed in your regular hours? How many hours a week do you work? Has everyone relabeled required bo...

Re: Aprons or Lab coats
I work in two schools and both have lab coats as they offer better protection. They are worn for all pracs and are hung on hooks around the labs. One school I wash them after dissections and at the end of each term if time permits. The other school the head teacher takes them home and washes them at...

Re: Plastic bottles/jerry cans for solutions
Hi Sharon
I bought mine from Westlab a couple of years ago, but not sure how much I paid. Do not think it was much. This is 1 Litre.

Re: Is borax really a teacher only chemical?
This is an interesting one! This is the response my friend received from Phil. Borax is now strongly suspected of being teratogenic. The GHS hazard statement is "May damage fertility. May damage the unborn child". This is the higher of the two warning levels (the other is "Suspected o...

Re: Lab Coats Vs Aprons
When doing pracs all students wear lab coats 7 -12. When junior students visit they also wear them.
I wash them each term and after dissections or if I notice they are stained, in my spare time
