laptop for school lab tech

Hi,..I have been asked to list the benefits of having a laptop. I currently have a desktop.Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Well I suppose if you have your inventory on the comp, you could take the laptop with you to check of items as you go... Dont think its very practical though, I really cant think of why a laptop would be better, unless you need to take work home, which I refuse to do, they simply dont pay us enough for that :wink2:

Our science classes have 4 sets of data loggers(temp. probes, pH probes etc) and also robotics (4 sets). The classrooms have 2 computers, the teacher a laptop, so if I had a laptop, I could bring it to the classrooms. So in my case it would be convenient.

We have our laptop connected to a data projector and set up on a special trolley. We wheel it into classrooms as required. Used for clickview, dvd as class situation.
