lead exposure
I have a lead lined cupboard, in my prep room, on the top is also a sheet of lead foil, yes very old style prep room. Should this still be in my prep room?? Exposure to lead at what level????

I also have cupboards lined with lead, one open and one with doors. I don't know that it is all bad, and lead is also used in building ie flashing etc. I don't suppose that we actually ingest it, so no harm done. Having said all that, I shall do some research to make sure.

Principal, was staight on to workcover, not too sure what they plan to do, I will keep you all informed. I always knew it was their, but never really thought about it all. So just wanted people to be aware of these things, this is our health, its important

Hi Sue, I looked it up and seems only salts are toxic. Lead metal is non volatile but can form toxic dust if machined. Wash hands with soap after handling lead metal to remove particles of lead oxide or salts
So I think sheets and foils should be OK. It is under NR and Not H category.
