Rmoving whiteboard marker from projector screen

Post by Wayne »

Hi All,

Just had the principal take an English lesson in the science lab (3 classrooms down due to renovations, so science labs are being used as normal classrooms as well as labs) and she managed to get whiteboard marker on our brand new projector screen

The mark is almost smack bang in the middle of the screen, she could have atleast done it in a corner or down an edge so that it didn't matter, but no! :-({|=

Any ideas of how to get it off without ruining the surface of the screen?

Thanks

Wayne

Could you whiteout or paint over the texta, or if you lifted the surface of the screen whilst trying to clean.

If it is a smartboard screen you may have problems. Is it possible to contact the manufacturer of the screen and ask for their advice as to what is appropriate to use for removal of the mark on the surface of the screen? Best to do that before you play around with something that will mark the screen even further.

Thanks Dime, that was my first thought, but thought I would see if anyone else had another idea.

G'day Wayne,
Just a thought. Trial anything that you may use on a part of the screen little used so that you may see the effect. Maree
