Silver nitrate stain

Any ideas on how to get Silver nitrate stain off the door (white plastic) on the dishwasher ???? I've tried Sodium thiosulphate and it did not work. :oops: - Cindy

What about using some good old fashioned "Gumption"? It seems to work for me on most surfaces. :)

Barbara Dungey (The Laboratory, p67) recommends 10% aqueous sol'n of Sodium Thiosulfate, failing that, ammonia or nitric acid.

Just to let you know that Ammonia didn't do anything BUT 'Gumption' removed it. Thanks for you help - Cin :wink2:
