Post by vlclabbie »

Hi, I have some 11s making esters today & they need concentrated sulphuric acid. Does this mean the 18M???

Just seems very high (& dangerous).... :-(

Cheers Kel

Oops, I thought concentrated sulphuric was 18M. But yes we use it for esters too. I have it in a dropper bottle for easy handling.

6M sulphuric acid works just as well. Just have to let it sit in the water bath for a couple of minutes longer.
