Help!!!
Has anyone successfully removed white out spills from fabric (Synthetic possibly microfibre), if so what did you use?
Someone hadn't properly replaced the lid so as I shook the bottle it went all over my warm jacket.
Have tried on scrap material, metho, Toluene, acetone, Xylol, Eucalyptus oil, Ethyl acetate but I am still left with a white shadow where the liquid paper was.
Any suggestions gratefully received.
When the kids come with spilt white out I usually send them home to get their mother to do the removal, I don't want to risk damaging the garment further and thus possibly being claimed liable for replacement.
But my mum would have NO idea!!!!

Wite Out Correction Fluid Stain Removal from Clothing
You should be able to remove a White Out stain by using paint thinner or isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol. Be sure to test on the item in a non-visible area before using.

White Out Removal
Hi fibreweb,
We purchased some white out thinner a couple of years ago.
it turned out to be 1,1,1 - trichloroethane so that may be your best bet.
Good luck
Judy

Re: White Out (Liquid Paper) removal
I thought I'd better give an update of my spill of white out onto the jacket.
After trying out many different things on my scrap material we discovered that what worked best was the Eucalyptus oil and then a hand wash with a gentle detergent. There are no traces left on the tan past of the jacket and just a very faint white ghost of a mark on the black section.
I'll probably suggest that to future students that have spills on their uniforms
