CLass 9 Help needed??

Post by Labbie »

HI Folks,

I believe we need to store Class 9 away from other groups, etc Class 8, 3, 5.1, 6.1 etc, but not sure how far, is it a 1 (one) metre? Also as far as I can tell, their are NO solutions that are class 9, am I correct??????????????????? Can it be stored at the end of the Non Classifeid group?

Thanks every one.

Hi Pommy
group 9 must be segregated from groups: 2.1, 2.2, 3.1, 3.2-3-4, 4.1-2-3, 6.1 & 8 by a distance of at least 3metres.
and must be fire separated from 5.1 & 5.2 .
(All according CSIRO classification)
Hope that helps.
Cheers

Hi Sue
According to WA regs assuming you refer to class 9 not group 9 they are defined as miscellaneous dangerous goods eg copper sulphate, zinc sulphate, and must have a corresponding diamond. They may be stored with other inert chemicals.
