Glass Tubing sizes to buy

Post by Merilyn1 »

One of the things I forgot to do before finishing up at the old job was take note of the size of the glass tubing we had. Any suggestions on what I should buy? We don't have any here yet at all.

7-8mm seems to be the best IMO . It fits the bungs that come with holes pre-bored . 7 mm fits in nice and easy , 8 will need a bit of lube as its very tight . I even have some strange 6.8mm stuff that's an easy slide in but seals tight when the stoppers are pushed into flasks etc .

Don't forget to get some 5mm capillary tube , its always handy for making inoculation wands and some solid 6mm is great for making stirring rods .
