Photographic Chemicals

Post by remlap12 »

Good morning,

I have a very random question.....
An art teacher here has brought me a box of photographic dyes, she is trying to find out the chemical composition of said bottles of dyes etc in the box to decide whether it is safe to use.

The brand is COLORVIR. I have googled it but can't find any details as to chemical composition.
All I can find is general possible compositions of photographic dyes and fixers.

I'm just wondering if anyone on here has come across this product or perhaps is into photography?

My first thought is I can't tell her that it IS safe to use, so it'll be a no from me!

Thanks,
Helen

Labbie,

She has come back to art this year after teaching maths for the past few years, I'm guessing she found in the art storeroom....

Thank you so much Anna, you are brilliant!! :clap3: :clap3: \:D/
I do have the book but the MSDS you found looks great!
It definitely is old stock, it has "fl oz" on the bottles.
