Pluck practical Yr11

Post by sherryc »

Does anyone know of any written guidelines/regulations in regards to using a sheep pluck for Yr 11 biology prac? I can't seem to find anything written that would suggest we can't use them now. Also have the option to do a chicken intestinal tract for Yr8, again, same question. Is still OK to use these fresh for a prac class? PPE and sanitiser etc will be available of course.

Fine in NSW and QLD too .

Mind you , a pluck up in NSW and QLD is really a half pluck . No stomach and intestines ….. just lungs hearts etc .

We did get a full pluck once from one of teachers hubbys slaughtered sheep and she bought it in . That was not my problem .LOL .
Just remembered looking out at the oval and seeing kids stretching out meters of intestines #-o
