Hi everyone,
I'm having trouble getting reliable readings with our class set of light meters. They're the Digitec ones. I'm sure they've been knocked around by the students over the years. Is there another type people have found good?

Re: Lux meters
We've got some protech lux meters that give consistent readings. Also, I've learned to always remove the batteries from lux meters when not in use because they go flat very quickly otherwise.

Re: Lux meters
WE use the protech version too .Looks exactly the same but has protech QM1587 above the "HOLD" button .
Ours still work but I noticed that the curly cord on a couple of them have perished .
Same as Marama, remove batteries after use .

We also use those ones above. Our batteries stay in them as we seem to be whipping them out every 2 months.

Re: Lux meters
I know most schools don't allow students to use their phones, but I found there was an android app called Arduino Science Journal which can measure a number of variables including ambient light
