Glass Jars for chemicals

Post by dolphinscales »

Hello one and all

i have a question regarding the suppliers of glass jars that i can rehouse some of my chemicals in.
Does anyone have a supplier that has the required bottles/jars please?

(Obviously the lids need to be plastic screw tops to be regulation.)

Thanks in advance Guys and Gals

Southern Biological in Victoria has Glass Jars with plastic lids from sizes 16ml up to 375ml.
the item codes are all g7.05 etc.. G7.50 being the largest. Website is http://www.southernbiological.com and you should be able to get cost from there.
Good luck Annette. They are the best thing to have.

Q-stores has a good supply of amber glass bottles with white screw lids. Perhaps a goggle in WA may help you a little more.

Hi Annette,

A couple of local suppliers who may be able to help are:

Silverlock in Canning Vale - good for 100, 200 and 500 mL amber screw cap bottles.

Officemax 2007/2008 catalogue, page 580 - has imitation (Chinese?) Schott bottles from $3.29 for 100 mL to $8.28 for 1L. I bought some of the 250's and 500's and they are OK for the price.

Regards
Fran

I got some plastic bottles free from the hospital. Have a read under the topic "Duran/Schott Bottles" for more info and to see photos. They aren't good for everything, but I keep most solutions in them.
